Scott has extensive experience acting for defendants in personal injury claims in a variety of schemes, including WorkCover, TAC, volunteer compensation and Comcare.

Scott manages a large portfolio of industrial injury claims on behalf of WorkSafe Victoria, its agents and its insured employers, including serious injury applications, pre-litigated and litigated common law damages claims, statutory benefits disputes and dependency claims.  In addition to his disputes work, he is often consulted by WorkSafe for his advice on complex and sensitive claims.  He also regularly acts for large self-insurer clients in common law and statutory benefits matters in the WorkCover scheme.

Scott acts for the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) in pre-litigated and litigated statutory benefits disputes relating to injuries sustained in transport accidents.  He previously worked as an in-house solicitor at the TAC, where he primarily managed litigated common law damages claims.

Scott also regularly advises the Country Fire Authority (CFA) in relation to the management of personal injury claims by volunteers under the CFA compensation scheme and handles claims for lump sum compensation on behalf of CFA.

Scott is highly experienced in litigation and has appeared in Courts and Tribunals at all levels, from the Magistrates' Court and VCAT to the Court of Appeal and the High Court.

Scott is valued by the firm and its clients for his considered, diligent and technically sound approach to managing claims and litigation.
